Diagnostic Medical Sonography program goal: To prepare competent entry-level sonographers in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Sonography concentration and the Abdominal - Extended Sonography concentration. The DMS program combines formal education and extensive clinical training to prepare you to function as a sonographer. The profession requires both critical thinking skills and judgment and the ability to provide appropriate healthcare services.
