How to use Domino’s PinpointĪll you need to do is open the Domino’s app and drop a pin on their map. Domino’s introduced a similar program, Domino’s Anywhere, to Australia and New Zealand in 2017. Pinpoint is a new technology that will allow the pizza chain to deliver to nearly anywhere in the United States provided there’s a Domino’s location within the usual distance range required for delivery (at max, 6-7 miles). Thankfully for my friends and family and the rest of humanity, Domino’s Pinpoint makes it possible to deliver your pizza just about anywhere (well, almost anywhere, but more on that later). At least, that’s what happens when I want pizza and can’t have it. In the past, you’ve had no other option but to lose your mind. Of course, just when you reach your favorite secluded lighthouse, your pizza craving hits. Best time ever, lol.By adding your email you agree to get updates about Spoon University Healthier Now I need you to step away from the door so I can help other customers." (No one was allowed inside back then. I have done everything that I can for you. Now we reach the point where I have been cleared by my manager to be less kind. Tell me why OVER HALF of these mfers STILL showed up to try to collect a cash refund? "The lady on the phone said" Our bank has already released the funds, you'll need to contact your own bank to ask them how long the refund takes to process." The refund is currently being processed at your bank. M: "Ma'am, we do not provide cash refunds. But they'd say "I'll be in to collect my refund." Some accepted the refund and went elsewhere. Some wanted the food and agreed to wait over 3 more hours. You have 75 other orders in front of you, and we currently have no orders that consist of a single item, so all I can offer you is a refund if you'd like to cancel and go elsewhere." M: "Ma'am every single order is a priority. M: "(Explaining the tracker thing) If you give me your name, I can tell you how long you have, but just a heads-up, our wait time is currently 3.5 hours from order to delivery."Ĭ: "Three and a half hours, are you kidding me, I have kids to feed! My name is (name.) You need to make my order a priority and get it to me NOW!"

Me: "Hello thanks for calling Dominos, how can I help you?"Ĭustomer: "Yeah, I ordered 20 minutes ago and the tracker says delivered but it's not here yet."

My calls at that time usually went something like this: So the tracker was more like a timer for us and completely useless to customers, lol. I used to work at a Dominos that was not directly linked to the tracker in early lockdown. It's always hilarious seeing the things that customers complain about. Oh but have the insider answer the phone so the manager can keep orders going in quickly? You'd think that helps, but the majority of calls like that don't want to talk to anyone but the manager. I guarantee most insiders aren't that fast. After five years slangin pizzers my average was around 20 seconds for a sellable large pepperoni from start to finish on my own. One customer being impatient and calling leads to a literal 50% decrease in how quickly orders are being made, and even more if your insider isn't as quick as you. I'll just say that when you're 150+ down, you've got one person helping you inside, four drivers, and you're getting a call every few minutes yanking you away from the line, that's just slowing orders down even more. I don't work for dominos anymore, but I used to be a GM. Tell me you've never worked fast food without telling me you've never worked fast food.
